We’re three gals who really dig romance reading, and fully believe in the genius that is Shonda Rhimes.
What Would Danbury Do? (aka Bridgerton Pod) is a podcast centred on the Julia Quinn series, and the adaptation on Netflix.
Throughout Season 1 co-hosts Rudi, Kate and Adele discussed each title in the eight books that comprise the core Bridgerton series, the characters, the plot, the family, and - of course - the romance, while speculating wildly on what might happen in the adaptation.
In Seasons 2 - 4 we tackled the second epilogues, Season 1 of Bridgerton on Netflix, and the Smythe-Smith Quartet (a Birdegrton-adjacent Quinn series).
In Season 5 we’re discussing all things Kate and Anthony for Season 2 of the Netflix adaptation.
We also step into our favourite character's shoes and provide helpful advice to other romance heroines in our section, What Would Danbury Do?
THE HOSTS
Rudi is a romance reader, radio broadcaster and all-round Girl Friday. She manages to use most of these skills as the audio producer for WWDDpod and BTpod.
Kate has been a romance reader, a romance editor, a romance reviewer, a romance publisher, and even during one ill-advised NaNoWriMo, a romance writer. She met Julia Quinn once and it was an awkward experience for both of them.
Adele is a romance reader, podcast host (yep, there’s another) and program producer. She found her grandma’s stash of 1970s Mills & Boon when she was ten, and she’s been a fan every since.
